COVENANT UNIVERSITY GRADUATE INVENTS AN OIL EXTRACTING PUMP
A Covenant University graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Joshua Medugbe, invented a machine that will help the Nigerian oil extracting companies immensely.
Mr. Medugbe invented the Vacuum Pump, which is now used by oil companies like NNPC, ANPC, and WRPC, to extract oil easily and also eradicates the problem of corrosion and the in pedals fading into crevices also caused by corrosion.
Mr. Medugbe, in an interview, says that the Vacuum Pump is a cost effective method of solving the problem of oil extraction.
This invention was the idea and also the final year project of Mr. Joshua Medugbe.
According to Mr. Medugbe, when asked what gave him the idea of inventing the Vacuum pump as his final year project, he said “one of my lecturers in my department said that your project should be a solution to a problem”.
